NUK Baby Thermometer 2in1, extra-small measuring tip

Body temperature is an important indicator of a baby’s health. So it is especially important for parents that the way they can measure the temperature is both quick and uncomplicated. With the NUK Baby Thermometer 2in1 that can be done easily and particularly gently!

Quick result from 2 ways of measuring
The NUK Thermometer 2in1 has an innovative, extra-small measuring tip with an infra-red transmitter. This lets the temperature in the ear be measured within a second. Alternatively, parents can rub the sensor over the temple and achieve a result in about 5 seconds.

 NUK Baby Thermometer Messung

Gentle to baby, uncomplicated for the parents
Measuring body temperature is very gentle thanks to the extra-small measuring tip. With this digital method of measuring in the ear or against the temple, parents can even measure the temperature gently and quickly while their baby is sleeping. Particularly practical: if the temperature is running high, then the LED light in the tip shines red – a green light gives the all-clear when the temperature is normal.

With memory function
Tracing the temperature’s progress over a longer time period is no problem with the memory function.

Versatile use
The NUK Baby Thermometer can also be used to measure the surface temperature of baby food or bathwater without any contact. The LCD display also tells you the temperature of your baby’s room.

Convincing test results
In the miBaby product test, the thermometer was tested by 39 parents with babies aged between 0 and 2 years. The result: 99% of the testers would recommend the device!  You can find the detailed test results and the reports here.

The thermometer comes with a practical stand as well as a lithium battery (CR 2032, 3 Volt), so that it can be used immediately.

The NUK Baby Thermometer 2in1: the gentle and uncomplicated way to take a temperature.

  • Before using the NUK Baby Thermometer 2in1, please read through the operating instructions first. They contain important information for you about the product.
  • Advice on measuring the temperature in the ear:
    • Measure the temperature three times in total in the same ear. Should you get varying temperature readings, then take the highest one. Please do not change ears as this can lead to different readings.
    • When measuring the temperature in the ear, gently pull back the ear to reduce the curve of the ear canal. That is the only way to achieve a correct result. Check the illustrations in the operating instructions as well as the description in Chapter 2.3.1.
  • In healthy people, temperature differences of 0.2-1.0°C between the measurements at the temple and in the ear can occur. This is because measuring in the ear is nearer to the body than measuring against the temple. It is therefore to be expected that identical results cannot be achieved.
  • Make sure that the sensor lens is clean and not obstructed before use. If this is not the case, please clean it as shown in Chapter 3.2.
